100% Professional Drums hand-made in Mali
We are proud to carry Kangaba™ as no other African-made drums can compare--every detail is attended to: the shells are meticulously carved to just the right proportions; the metal rings are custom welded to fit each drum perfectly; only the best goat skins are used; the bearing edges are perfectly level, smooth and rounded; the wood is well sanded and finished inside and out with liquid shea butter; European 2-part polyester cord is used; and each drum comes professionally tuned, ready to play. The wood used in these drums are (when available) Lingue', Gueni, Dugura, Kapokier or Gmélina.

Every Kangaba™ drum we sell comes with a lifetime head warranty:

If for any reason your drum skin breaks, Kangaba  will put on a new skin, professionally tune it, touch up any minor blemishes on the shell, and ship it back to you within a week for a nominal charge of $59 plus return freight.

This warranty is fully transferable for the life of the drum, so anyone who buys it is covered.

For every djembe carved a tree of the same species is planted
Originated from Mali, from the heart of the Mandingo country, the Kangaba instruments are made out of the most noble natural materials in West Africa. The exotic woods (lingue, dugura, gueni...) treated with karité butter, the calabash (african gourd of various size and shape), the leather, the bamboo, the rafia, the seeds and the cotton, are the main materials used for the making of these traditonal instruments.
